Torrance Blvd / Prospect Ave: 1956

This is a 1956 aerial photo of the area northeast of the Torrance Blvd and Prospect Ave intersection.

The old Torrance Drive-in is in the lower-center of the photo. A 7-11 store is now located on the SE corner of Torrance Blvd & Prospect Ave. The site of the future Bishop Montgomery High School is located approximately where Torrance Blvd finishes it's curve and heads due east. The future site of the Daily Breeze office is the lot in the middle-right where Palos Verdes Blvd t-bones into Torrance Blvd. When this photo was taken, the Breeze office was located in Redondo Beach near the pier.
