Hotel Redondo: 189?

This is a panoramic photo of the Hotel Redondo in Redondo Beach. The camera is facing due north.

I'm not sure of the exact date of this photo, but given the size of the trees, I'll bet it was taken close to the May 1, 1890 opening of the hotel. The horse-drawn carriage in front of the hotel points to a photo date that is pre-1900.

Extending out into the water is Wharf No. 1 which was located at approximately the northern end of the present day Redondo Beach Pier.
